Split Rock VFE About

The Split Rock Quarry virtual field experience is a collaborative project led by Christopher McRoberts at the State University of New York at Cortland.

Field work involving still digital photography was conducted by McRoberts and Melissa Hicks (Onondaga Community College).

Onsite operation of UAV (drone) video capture and development of the 3D model and Gigapan imagery was by Jeffrey Peitras (Binghamton University).

Design and website development on the Earth@Home site was spearheaded by Jonathan Hendricks (Paleontological Research Institution) with much of the page writing and image mapping by McRoberts.

Additional help and consultation by Linda Ivany and Christopher Scholz (both of Syracuse University) and Rob Ross and Don Hass (both of the Paleontological Research Institution).
